EDITORIAL  JANUARY 2026

Save the Date: Q1 2026 News…

Dear Members and Friends of Ad Manaurem 1762,

As you know, our association’s activities during the first quarter are dedicated to renewing our partnerships with major conservatories and organizing the selection process.

To this end, and as we do every year, we will be visiting Paris, Vienna, London, and Zurich. We have opened 7 spots for pianists and 12 for quartets (3 ensembles). Some conservatories have already begun their selections, which have been made easier by our growing reputation for excellence—thanks in large part to the word-of-mouth from our alumni who cherish wonderful memories of their time in Périgord.

An important moment will be our Annual General Meeting. Please note that, contrary to our previous announcement, it will now take place on Friday, April 10, starting at 5:30 PM at the Salle des Fêtes in Saint-Martin-de-Fressengeas (instead of Saturday, April 11). A formal invitation will be sent to you during February.

We are also very pleased to announce that on February 12 in Paris, Tom Carré, one of our pianists from the 2025 season, will perform as a soloist at the Concert des Avant-Scènes at the Cité de la Musique-Philharmonie (8:00 PM) with the Orchestre des Lauréats du Conservatoire. Link: Philharmonie de Paris Admission is free.

Program:

  • Claude Debussy: Petite Suite

  • Sergei Prokofiev: Violin Concerto No. 1

  • Maurice Ravel: Piano Concerto in G Major

Performers: Orchestre des Lauréats du Conservatoire de Paris, Alexandra Cravero (conductor), Céleste Klingelschmitt (violin), and Tom Carré (piano).

Thank you for your continued loyalty!

Renew your 2026 membership to keep supporting our young laureates on their path to success.

Your support is essential in bringing world-class classical music to the heart of our region."

Amitiés,

Giving Tuesday

On Giving Tuesday, we join the Paris Conservatoire in celebrating generosity. Your support is vital: without it, 1 in 4 students could not pursue their studies. Thank you for empowering the next generation of artists!

A New Piano Enriches Our
Music Residency

We are delighted about the arrival of our new digital piano for the Ad Manaurem 1762 music residency. The acquisition was generously co-funded by the Fondation Crédit Agricole Charente-Périgord. We would like to thank the Foundation for its valuable and generous support of our patronage for talented young musicians. This new instrument will significantly enrich the work and creativity of the artists in our residency. In the attached photo, you can see Didier Sourisseau, Bruno Baudouin, and Thierry de Beaumont-Beynac, who helped with the installation of the instrument.

Welcome to the Orangerie: A New Residence for Young Talents in the Périgord Vert

Ad Manaurem 1762 has opened its doors for an exciting new project. We are delighted to announce the opening of our residence, specially designed for young musicians. Our first guests, the talented Idalia String Quartet, have already arrived and are filling the space in the heart of the Périgord Vert with music. This new step deepens our commitment to the talents of tomorrow, while staying true to our philosophy. The residence provides not only an inspiring setting for rehearsals but also moments for meeting and exchange. The peace and beauty of the Périgord Vert create an ideal environment for artistic growth. This project is fully aligned with our belief that musical excellence thrives best in a supportive, family-like environment. With the residence, we now offer an even more comprehensive platform to encourage and support the next generation of classical music.
