2026 Season – An Exceptional Musical Experience
Dear friends,
The 2026 season is about to begin — the result of months of dedication devoted to outstanding young musicians selected by our partner conservatories. For them, this intensive week of study alongside internationally renowned professors, in exceptional conditions, is far more than a training program: it is a defining moment, often a turning point on their demanding artistic journey.
This year’s edition will be marked by a strong Viennese influence. We are honored to welcome pianist Christopher Hinterhuber, as well as, for the second consecutive year, Johannes Meissl, Vice-Rector of the MdW and a world-leading specialist in string quartet pedagogy.
None of this would be possible without you — donors, patrons, and public institutions. Your support is the foundation of this initiative. And let us not forget that it also reflects the spirit of the Périgord, a land of generosity and inspiration that has welcomed artists for centuries.
A highlight of the season, our two concerts continue to grow in success, drawing an ever more engaged and loyal audience. Once again this year, our laureates — pianists and string quartets — stand out for their exceptional level, artistic maturity, and strong musical personalities. We warmly encourage you to discover their biographies on our website.
We look forward to welcoming you:
– on Friday, July 3, for the piano concert, under the direction of Christopher Hinterhuber
– on Friday, August 28, for the chamber music concert, under the direction of Johannes Meissl
at the church of Saint-Jean-de-Côle.

Ad Manaurem 1762 is greatly honoured to announce the arrival of Christopher Hinterhuber as Artistic Director for Piano for the 2026 season. We look forward to this inspiring collaboration, which will take place from June 27 to July 4, 2026. “Christopher knows our patronage programme very well and has been involved since its creation, as a professor at the MdW, in selecting outstanding young artists. For this season, he will bring the excellence of Viennese music to our young laureates, thereby strengthening the international reputation of our work in the Périgord Vert.” — Didier Sourisseau Photo: Julia Wesely

A New Piano Enriches Our
Music Residency
We are delighted about the arrival of our new digital piano for the Ad Manaurem 1762 music residency. The acquisition was generously co-funded by the Fondation Crédit Agricole Charente-Périgord. We would like to thank the Foundation for its valuable and generous support of our patronage for talented young musicians. This new instrument will significantly enrich the work and creativity of the artists in our residency. In the attached photo, you can see Didier Sourisseau, Bruno Baudouin, and Thierry de Beaumont-Beynac, who helped with the installation of the instrument.

Welcome to the Orangerie: A New Residence for Young Talents in the Périgord Vert
Ad Manaurem 1762 has opened its doors for an exciting new project. We are delighted to announce the opening of our residence, specially designed for young musicians. Our first guests, the talented Idalia String Quartet, have already arrived and are filling the space in the heart of the Périgord Vert with music. This new step deepens our commitment to the talents of tomorrow, while staying true to our philosophy. The residence provides not only an inspiring setting for rehearsals but also moments for meeting and exchange. The peace and beauty of the Périgord Vert create an ideal environment for artistic growth. This project is fully aligned with our belief that musical excellence thrives best in a supportive, family-like environment. With the residence, we now offer an even more comprehensive platform to encourage and support the next generation of classical music.
